Live mice as bait

Well, it was an interesting day. We rigged the mice by putting a rubber band around them and the hook underneath, they swim very well but some kind of small float would help. It wasn't as productive as I was hoping it would be, no fault to the mice, the lakes have been fished hard and I think we saw every fish that existed at least twice. One of the lakes (spring) was almost completely fished out, I saw about a dozen tilapia and four or five bluegill. It used to be FULL of bluegill! It was fun regardless.
