I think you're wrong, private property in the past needed to posted every 500ft along its boundry.

I agree private property owners rights should be respected, I know I wouldn't want someone popping off a high powered rifle near my house of fishing in my garden pond. And I used to live in the mountains and had 6.5 acres and I didn't want hunter on my property or snowmobilers running down my fieces in the back yard.

But I posted my property and some folks still didn't care.

I agree with most of what you say.
