Its a shame about the 5 dead muskies. Most likely they died from improper handling after they where caught. Its good practice to unhook them while still in the water if possible. If they are brought into the boat its good practice to have everything ready that you will need to unhook them so you are not searching for pliers,measuring tape, gloves, camera etc. and the fish can be returned to the water as soon as possible.
