I worked union for only five years. There wasn't much difference from that and working non union. The benefits were the same. The salary was the same. There were never any strikes at the time I was working.
It seems like unions play their part as far as employee protection but then again they are like an insurance policy. If you don't pay, there is no coverage. I personally don't favor unions. We should all just get along and help each other out the best we can. And be thankful for what we have.
