I think the point being made here is that they act like the stereo type cops you see on TV. Meaning any means to get the results they desire. Kind of like the local police that park behind the over pass on US 40. This is on the downhill side and everyone picks up speed here. As you come out from the overpass you are clocked on radar. I think you can figure out how many tickets they give. Not only is this unethical, but it is clearly illegal also. No I have not had a ticket, I know they do this and I NEVER speed (LOL).
I agree with the need for enforcement, even undercover officers. But they need to be ethical in their actions also. Pretending to be friendly and acting other than what they are leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Undercover means just that, undercover, gather information and pass it on to the uniforms to take action that is needed. It is acts like this that undermine the publics faith, trust, and confidence in our police officers, no matter who the work for. Yes they have a tough job to do, I sure as hell wouldn't want to try and take anyones truck or guns for breaking the law. And we should pat them on the back for the job they do. Hey just my 2 cents, now I will take my liberla views and go back to fishing.
