Southern California Saltwater

Report for October 18, 2003 (Saturday)

San Diego boats doing great on Yellowtail, Yellowfin and Skipjack.

Blue Horizon with 14 anglers get 70 yellowtail, 6 Yellowfin, and 75 Skipjack.

Way Up North- Avila and Monterey
Rockfish.

Up North- Channel Islands
Lots of Rockfish and a mixed bag of other fish.

LA Area- Catalina Island
Not many 3/4 days venturing out.

Further South- San Clemente
There are some boats that go to the island on the week-end but the info is scarce.

San Diego- Local and Offshore
Yellowtail, Yellowfin and Skipjack are now filling the SD bags.

LA Local
SMB has lots of sculpin and rockfish. South of Rocky Point there are calicos, lots of bonito, rockfish, lings, sculpin and a few yellowtail. Yellows are still biting a bit south of dana wharf's home grounds.
