Southern California Saltwater Report 10/23-29
#5

Southern California Saltwater

Report for October 27, 2003 (Monday)

Blue Monday means low angler numbers for LA landings.

Way Up North- Avila and Monterey
Patriot was the landing that boats got out.

Up North- Channel Island
Really mixed bag of fish both surface and bottom.

LA Area- Catalina Island
Calicos and Bonito

Further South- San Clemente
Didn't hear specific details

San Diego- Local and Offshore
Yellows and other fish caught on local boat with Offshore and multi-day boats doing good. Blue Horizon with 10 got lots of yellows, yellowfin, and skipjack.

LA Local
SMB fishing pretty good, South of Rocky Point there was a good bonito, barracuda and bass bite here and there. The Sum Fun, Dana Pride, and Freelance killed the yellows down further south.
