I am not a fan of Cabela's lines. That Sage looks great.
As far as up lining one, on a floating line. It is a bigger diameter which means more wind resistance. I over line my sinking lines because they are a thinner diameter to begin with.
You will feel the load up. But if you have a medium flex rod it will slow it down even more. Great if you have a super fast rod.
I like the GPX line because it is 1/2 line heavier.
Long story short...it couldn't hurt[
