El Dorado Regional Park Lakes
NO FLOATS, NO BOATS!!
General Location: Large Print Thomas Guide pp 796, 90808-G-1. The park is located just off and along the 605 freeway between Carson and Spring St. (single entrance gates, address is 7750 East Spring St.) Exit gates on both Wardlow Road and Spring St.
Size: 30.6 acres. This is hard to figure as there are four lakes which in total seem like more surface area.
Open: Entrance- fee charged per vehicle or yearly pass avaliable. 7 days a week. Main lake does not have access Tuesday mornings. Opening and closing times vary throughout the year.
Parking: Free, Plenty of parking along the roadside inside the park or designated parking lots.
Fishing: Free, Fishing license is required (DFG) Catfish and Trout plants regularly during the season. Bass, Bluegill, Redear, Catfish, Carp, Crappie, and Trout inhabit the lake year-round. The most popular lake is the third one from the entrance and has the park ranger station. A bulletin board tells you when the last plant was done on the outside office wall.
Other: Lakes have BBQ, paved sidewalks and lighting. Plenty of clean restrooms and picnic tables, etc. Lots of friendly ducks, geese, and four legged squirrls!
