I talked to a member that told me the reason for using 3/4 plywood is the distance between supports beams, mine are 10" apart so I guess that was the reason for 1/2" plywood. Since my boat was made in 1978, it has gone for 35 years on the first floor, I'm guessing 1/2" will be fine for replacment.
I just went down to Wheelwright Lumber in Ogden, they had it in stock for $55.14 for 1/2 marina plywood(MP) and $72.80 for 3/4" MP. I bought all the 1/2" they had but they have plenty of the 3/4" MP.
Now I need to get busy doing all the cutting and beveling the edges. The old floor was held in place by rivets but I think I'll use stainless steel screws, what kind of fasteners did you use?
