Sinergy, thanks for the tip on purple. That was me and my significant other in the G3 boat who chatted with you briefly. I started getting bit as soon as I put my purple/black "Chorus Line" tube fly on a type IV sinking line.
The smallie bite really died off compared to the last few trips to Jordanelle. So, I abandoned the spinning gear and hula grubs in favor of the fly rod and it paid off in slimers
