We took the kids to Montpelier Res today. Tango's first ice fishing trip! It was a small city but that didn't matter, the weather was perfect. Its nice to see everyone help with lowering the perch population. We are starting to see some perch that are a little bit bigger from last year, its not hard to get over a hundred. The edges are soft in places and the slush monster has started in some spots; however, its still very good ice and easy access.

Best bait is a tiny jig that resembles a perch and a perch eyeball or a mealworm.
