Bob you got that right on. My stock answer to "what are ya fishin for?" Is, "anything that bites". Yea, I have a medium nice fishfinder, and like others have said, I use it for seeing the depth, seeing where I've been so I can find my way back (has an internal GPS) real handy on water I've never been to before, or at night. And for knowing a close idea of how fast I'm going.
