[#0000FF]Reminds me of a line from an old classic...Smoky and the Bandit. Sally Fields takes a puff on a cigarette and starts coughing. Burt Reynolds tells her she should probably quit smoking. To which she replied "But I enjoy it so much."
As I think most of us agree, it is the overall experience of fishing that gives us so much enjoyment (cough, cough). And we each approach our passion in our own personal ways.
Guys like yourself make snarky comments about my daybreak beginnings, etc. But a big part of the total experience for me is to be on the water as the earth (and waters) awakens...a new beginning if you will. I'm a few years older than you and it is nice to get reminders that you have been given another day. Even nicer when you get to spend as much as you want of it...fishing.
On the practical side, by starting early I avoid a lot of the power squadron and usually the worst of the winds. My mama drowned all the dumb ones...except my sister.
