My motto is don't be a D-bag to anyone. Fish how you want to fish (as long as it is within the regulations) get out have fun and enjoy the outdoors. I think you can learn something from everyone that you fish with. At the end of the day fish how you enjoy it and who cares what anyone else thinks! I confuse people I will fish a stream with a 1wt and a dry fly and fit in with the purist crowd, I will float a lake and toss plastics on my ultra light (Tons of fun when you get something over 20+ inches on 4lb line) I will also kick troll a streamer on a fly rod at the same time. I love catching fish on the fly rod however I have a time or two put a worm on a sinking line on a fly rod and just nailed fish after fish. If you don't want to run into the fly guy that thinks he is superior don't go to places where the congregate! I personally try to avoid crowds and it is amazing the solitude you can get if you are willing to drive more than 2 hours from the valley, especially if you are willing to hike a couple of miles as well.
