mono vs fluoro tippets/leaders
#26

Screw mono or flouro leaders. Order a couple furled leaders from flygoddess. Get them with a tippet ring. Buy regular mono tippet, add up to 6' if you want for finicky trout. Treat with a floatant for dries. If taken care of, one should last well over a year. I haven't used a mono, braided, flouro, poly leader in years.
This.

I've got maybe a dozen of her leaders and I will never be without one. I have fished furled for years and hers are the best I've used; the O-ring versus a loop is the game changer.

Also, do yourself a favor and do NOT buy the cheap Sportsman's Warehouse labeled flouro. It shreds like string cheese. Terrible, horrible, very bad stuff.

I'm a p-line guy myself.
I have to disagree, thats the only floro i use because i refuse to page $20 for a small spool. I can use one section of tippet on 9-10 fish easy. Never had a problem with it...
