Have been using this digital one for about 8 years. I just take out the battery in the winter, put a new one in at the start of each spring-fall season. Works good.

I don't usually worry too much about the weight of a fish unless it is larger than I normally catch. Or I'm in a tournament decided by weight. But I never state a weight unless I have proof.
