That point extends out and there is always junk on it. In the last 15 years I've lost a half dozen anchors each with a hundred feet of rope. I've came up with my own design and haven't lost one since. The problem is the newbies that walk in and fish with store bought leaders and such. We very seldom lose gear from the boat. This flow will make the fish active and maybe wash all the ghost gear out or at least cover it up with debrie. They sure are thin.
