I know that they are a little spendy, but I don't think they are unreasonably pricy.

I think it is a well designed tube for a special niche market. That means the number sold is going to be less, so their production costs are higher also.

The Outcast Trinity tube, which is also sold as a backpacking tube, is about a hundred dollars more and is 3 lbs heavier.

I am just kicking myself that I didn't know about these before I picked up a Creek Co ODC 420 lightweight (8lbs) when I needed a tube that would pack up smaller than my Fish Cat 4. The ODC is currently priced at $289.
