Book Review - "Big Trout!" by Ray Johnson
#4
Ray is an interesting guy to say the least. I had the pleasure (???) of meeting him in the early 80's when he came in my store hawking his lures. His exploits are "legend" and often he is the only one to verify. You have to give him his due however, because he did catch some monster browns on the Gorge. His State records are also verified and again, you have to give him credit for going after those records and being persistent in catching them. Not sure what else can be said !!!

PS: Regarding his lure. It did not sell very well in spite of hype and it was a terrible lure to fish with. The little molded fins acted as rudders and caused it to run all over the place. It would not track very well and could not be trolled at speed. Looked good, but worked poorly.
