I could see hitting the Island that is not marked at all and being pitched from your small boat. Buoys need to be placed on structure that is absolutely a hazard.
I've expected the deployment of marker buoys for the last 4 weeks as summer approaches and the go fast crowd arrives, the water should be made safe as soon as the Ice comes off. No benefit comes from waiting when it comes to marking structure that causes a serious safety concern.
