Person Missing at Willard Bay
#81
Many kayak anglers have a rope with a loop at the end. The rope is permanently tied to a mid-ship cleat and is long enough to reach across the boat plus about three feet.

If the kayak capsizes, the rope is thrown across the hull, and then used from the other side to flip the kayak back upright. If not inverted, or after flipping back upright, you toss the rope back across and then use the loop as a foot hold/ladder. Insert foot in loop, then heave up with your arms and that leg to get back aboard.
