That ship sailed long ago, 6 years ago. The land owners had all of that with the compromise bill Lourie Faulk and Curt Bramble put forth, then McKiff and his Farm Bureau thugs rammed the current law down the sportsman's throats. Now it is our turn. They should consider themselves lucky the fishers do not want compensation for the over 150 years that their rights have been denied by landowners. This ruling does not establish that the land under the rivers is now public property, it establishes that it has been public land since statehood was granted.
Time to start arresting landowners who interfere with some who is legally engaged in fishing, just as they have had fishers arrested for trespassing on land that they did not own.
