Good advice, Pontoonman. Blakemore makes a 6 inch and an 8 inch rod floater. For trout, I usually an 1/8 ounce weight. I have had no problem with the line interfering with the 6 inch rod float. But maybe with stouter rods and 8 inch Blakemores, there could be a problem. So your reply is helpful.
