Live mice as bait

We have all tried things like that, then moved on when they did not work as well as we hoped. I think there is a time and place for everything. I remember one member fishing at Cutler that used mouse traps to catch them, then caught some monster cats with them. My favorite was using frogs, at least when I was growing up in Colo. There was a marshy area beside the river where we were fishing for cats. I read an article about using frogs as bait and when we started hearing all these frog, we went over there and caught a few about two to three inches long. They turned out to be the best bait ever, at least in that spot. I haven't used bait like that in years, I found out long ago the lures can and do catch fish just as well, with a lot less mess.
