If you are going to spend the money on a higher end Marcum, why not get the Lowrance Elite 5 ? The Marcum does not have GPS. This is incredibly important. I'm sure you have had one hole that out produces all the others, with GPS, you can mark it for next time. Also, with the flasher style units, you will be constantly wondering how deep you are, is that the bottom ??, what are all these little lines ??. Do yourself a favor, buy a real sonar unit with GPS. There is a reason no one uses a flasher on a boat.
