Do you watch your rod tip/spring bobber and line. I would think you do. However as a tip elevate the sonar/flasher display so you can view the rod tip and display together one infront of the other. Fished next to guys with $300+ Lorance units I hooked more sometimes and less other times. A weapon is only as powerful as the operator.
