I would never want or use a flasher on my boat. And for what it's worth, there isn't ANY one-size-fits-all machine made that will give you absolutely the best features of all functions. I use a Lowrance HDS on my boat and the Vexilar FL20 on the ice. Couldn't be happier. Well maybe - I plan on getting the FLX28 for next season. And we are in total agreement on one thing - to each his own. I would never disparage you for using whatever product that meets your requirements. Peace and tight lines to you wherever you fish.
