Okay I guess I'll have to come clean, I'm a regular graph guy using a Humminbird with the GPS and etc... I like it a lot, but I must admit when it comes to ice fishing I think the Marcums are probably better... they seem to do a better job of showing the fish moving in exact real time, so you know better when to hook the fish if they are biting very soft... I too have been 
with the circular flashers, but I am color blind too... So maybe that is part of my problems there, but I've fished with others that totally amaze me with the fish they hook totally off of watching their flashers... Sooooo I still like my system, especially when you look at year round use, but on the ice I expect to be shown up from what history has taught me.... Later J
