Fish Finders with side and down imaging

Thanks Brent, I was hoping you would share your thoughts. I have a hunch that I would get minimal use out of side imaging. Does down imagining still work well when one is anchored up? I also need to decide if I want to try to have my fish finder work more closely with my Minnkota i-pilot.
