Logan Fly Fishing
#2
I was up there last week around this time. I fished the lower part of the canyon and did really well. Actually only fished one large run. Fished for a little over an hour and landed somewhere around 10. Water was really high and maybe 6-12 inches of visibility....if that! Fish are right up against the bank because they won't fight that strong current. Try anything flashy or bright. Like a San Juan, something with a bead, or a flashback. Make sure you have enough weight to get down. I'd give you locations but that would be cheating being that I grew up on that river haha. If you fish the blacksmith fork it would be cool to know if the salmonfly or golden stone hatch has started yet.
