Nope, not blaming you for what has happened. Just asking why the flow into Ut Lake was shut off this spring and the lake level allowed to reach a historic low, one I have not seen in the 40 yrs that I have been playing on the pond. I have no problem with ranchers and farmers using their water right. You guys keep us fed and clothed, you drive the engine of the whole nation, so cutting you off is not a good thing. But someone, somewhere, made a decision to cut off the water flowing into the lake and that, along with the historic low water levels already, caused this problem. I may be way off base and blowing hot air, not the first time, but it just does not compute !! Historically, I do not believe that we reach the current levels at Ut. Lake till mid to late August, by which time many if not most crops are getting ready to be harvested and most of the irrigation is done. Also, by that time, the monsoon thunder storms are here and the wind and wave action are stirring the pond, replenishing the oxygen and breaking up the sludge. We don't have that going on right now, the lake is mostly flat calm, the sludge is building up, and most of that is due to the very low water conditions. So I ask again, who made the decision to withhold the flow into the lake and why ???
Pretty sure it was Hilary Clinton[]
I do not have the answer to your question. And I would sure be interested to know the answer.
