One other tid bit of info, if your load isn't going to be too heavy those skis will float it pretty easy so you might be fine with a 2x6 riser. I just don't have enough experience to tell you for sure. I did pull it on some snow last night and it was a dream compared to my old tub style sled. Only issue so far is sharp turns cause the ski side walls to dig in so you need to take wider turns or lift the front end around. This is going to be nice this year. Couple concerns are what happens on steep hills and how do I cross edge margins with a wide sled. Might spread the load enough it won't need a plank to cross them. Anyway hope this is helpful.
