I was born in San Antonio back in the 50's. When I am in Texas I do live on the coast. The town of Port Aransas is on Mustang Island. To get there you have three choises. 1. By way of a bridge that goes to the Island from The south end of Corpus Christi and then a 20 min drive to the north end of the Island. 2. By small plane at the local airport. 3. The shortest and fastest is by the state run fairy boats. They take you across the shipping channel from Aransas Pass directly to the ramp at Port Aransas. The loading, ride and unloading takes about 10-15 min. One thing that I like about Port A is that no matter where you are in Port A, it is less than 5 min to the beach or piers. If you are on the south end of town and walking it only takes 10min to walk to the north end of town.<br>I also own a home in south eastern Ohio. That is where I spend most of my time.
