Dave:

Help me out, please. I would like to find out the source of the information contained in your post entitled Texas Bass Feel Effects of Estrogen Contamination.

I have been in contact with 2 Texas Parks and Wildlife sources (both are fishery biologist). Neither of them have heard any reports or seen any documentation regarding the theory. But they both asked for the source of the information so they can track it down.

Can you help us out? Since this theory is being published to the world we would like to see it proven with facts, names of testers in a documented, factual report.

as to weather or not this is bunk, (It sure sounds like it could be. lol fish fealing its feminen side)

to be honest with all the junk that goes in to the sewers these days, I am surpized to not hear of 3 headed fish swimming around in many of our poluted lakes and streams.

to find out if there is any trouth to the report above you might want to contact University of North Texas. and ask for their environmental department. you may even find many of their reports published on the enternet. much of their work is published for use and influenceing others to focus attention on subjects such as this.

although it is hard to beleive, it is posible that some one could be dumping old product in the water ways. I would be more inclined to beleive some thing like that my self.

as for there being hormones and drugs that deleberatly transfer the sex of a species to the oppisit sex, they do exist. Many men and women have under gone the changes and shot up with testostrone or estrogen to hold the phiseque they are trying to acheive.

as for the source of the report above, I am not sure of its reliability. I just thought it may be a good topic to open up, and maybe even get a laugh or two out of it....[sly]

one last thing, it is not unherd of in the fish kingdom that a fish will change its sex to aprocreate. so why not an inland fish with a little encouragement form a drug co.
