i would absolutely recomend a sitontop kayak... thats what i use. i started with a pelican and it worked great from when i was 14 thru 17. this year i bought an ocean kayak big game prowler. and i love it. i have fished out of sit ins and sit on tops and the sit on top is just so much more stable. and kayak fishing is just the best because you can get to where boats cant and fish alot of small water ponds. i would deffinately say buy a sit on top...if you have any questions just let me know and if you need advise on how to rig one up just ask.
