Just got back from Strawberry. Took snowmobile from the marina to over by narrows. 4 to 6 inches of light snow on top of frozen solid hard pack. Not a bit of slush and shouldn't be for the next few days. Ice about 30 inches. Snowmobiles absolutely no problem, ATV ......Might be a problem if you have trouble with 6 inches of snow. All roads and marina lot plowed and good. Fishing was the slowest I've seen so far this season but still did 23 between the two of of us from this morning till about 7:00.

Kent... I have not been up for several weeks, just not enough time lately, but I am considering going up tomorrow if the spouse gives me the go-a-head. You going by yourself? Where you planning on fishing?

No slush but bitter cold. My auto showed -20 and some others said it was -25. Still fishing and quite slow but hate to take down shacks and move.

Good luck. Moving after you are all set up is a pain. Thanks.
-20 and some others said it was -25.
That will keep the ice growing. Thanks for the report.

Found them today at renegade. Pretty consistent bite from 7:30 to 1:30

Renegade was where I was going to go today, but alas, the inclement weather kept me at home. Always do well there. Did you take the road or zip across the ice from Strawberry Bay? Maybe in a few more days I may give it a try.

We rode across the bay on the 12" of new powder. Like Kent said it was a chilly morning and with the wind chill of riding snowmobiles I bet it felt like -35. Sun never really came out and it was snowing lightly most the morning. Wind kicked up around 2:00 and we packed up. No slush at all.
