Suggestions for trout fishing locations

Next weekend I plan on going fishing. Any suggestions on where rainbow trout are and what part of the reservoir or lake they are in? I am fishing more central Utah (deer creek, Utah lake, east canyon etc.). I will most likely go to east canyon, deer creek, or strawberry reservoir. Thanks for any suggestions given.

Welcome to BFT and thanks for posting. You don't say if you will be fishing from the shore or otherwise. Strawberry may or may not be fishable by then, except around The Ladders and if you're targeting rainbow it is likely the best choice.

I will be fishing from shore, using powerbait.

I heard they are doing pretty good at deer creek.

I fished Deer Creek last Saturday, from shore by the island and with some friends we had 4 rods in the water. We had no luck using powerbait or nightcrawlers so if there where to fish?

Did really good couple of weeks ago from the bank in Rainbow Bay. Fished right off the parking lot bout 50 feet from my truck using Powerbait with a short leader ( 12"). The water there stays shallow quite a ways out but we slayed'em anyway.
