Skunked for the second time since 1 June. Last week I picked up a Baker's Dozen of good cats out along the west dike in a couple or three hours. Went back to the same place and used the same tactics this afternoon. Zero, zilch, none. Talked to some bank anglers who did pretty good yesterday in the same place and had picked up a wiper or two today. No love for me.

Well that sorta smacks -- took WiperHunter out in my boat early, fishing by 0630, launching out of the So Marina....Overall we did pretty good, not great, but it turned out to be a great A.M. to be on the water at Willard....it got pretty windy for awhile, but we stuck it out, and then about 9, 9:30, the winds gradually started calming down, and we just ended up with a nice breeze and a nice walleye chop, which actually did produce 1 good walleye for me, the only one I gave a ride home....All others were released....WH got 3 nice cats and 3 very nice wipers, I got the 1 'eye, 2 cats, and 1 wiper....good to be out on the water with someone who taught me alot about Willard last year.....

We were trolling near the Island, we were using #7 and #9 diving lures at 2.5 mph. When we got there a few minutes after 6am there was a little surface activity right at the ramp but we never tried casting to them but they were pushing the shad right to the edge if the ramp. Water level has dropped at least 3 ft, maybe getting close to 4ft.
