It is about the time of year that the crappie catching should be turning on at Pineview. Any recent reports?

How deep are they? Can you vertical jig them off of a boat or are they shallow this time of year? I have only ice fished them in about 50 feet of water.[fishon]

Last year about this time we started vertical jigging in about 25 FOW... Was a lot of fun, but I had a hard time holding position above them in the wind without an anchor or motor that would spot lock... Looking forward to doing that again this fall... I think it was a couple weeks later than this last year... Later J

Hit Pineview this afternoon. Was a beautiful day for fishing. Could not locate an crappie willing to play. Did manage some perch and SMB so still a good day.
