Windy but good fishing. Trolled rapalas. I kept wanting to switch to the flyrod, but the wind demoralized me. All slot cutthroats except for 1 rainbow. Surface temperature was 53 at noon. I'd love to catch some of those big cuts on streamers, which I think should be possible.
I don't know what other people are finding, but I think the average size is down a little this year--although still a couple in the 19-21 inch range.
Good luck!

Thanks for the report, did the cutts seem a little more feisty with the cooling water temps?

The ones that I have caught this past couple weeks seem to have a bit more go in them then what I usually see on a fly rod

I agree that they have a little more fight now. Cutthroats will never be the best fighters, but this is as good as they will be!

We fished it from noon to about 6 pm today. We were catching cutts on streamers pretty consistently this afternoon.
Productive colors were white and pink. Very aggressive when retrieving fast. We only caught one rainbow but it was a good one.
The last 45 minutes for us was very slow. I guess when they are done for the evening, they are done.
