Hi Utah Anglers-
We are in the process of launching a new product and would like some help with some big fish tackle research?
1-Are you an angler that trolls and stops and fishes bait?
or
2-Are you an angler that prefers to cast and retrieve lures from shore or boat?
If you do both kinds of fishing let us know the percentage of each.

Boy that's a tough question, I do both and it depends what I'm fishing for and what the fish are most actively taking. Since I can't give you accurate numbers I'll say 50/50. J

I am like Jeff. both it depends on the fish. do what ever it takes to get a bite. sometimes I'll have a rod out with bait and be casting some sort of lure out with the other. guessing 40 percent bait 60 percent lure.

Mostly casting a variety of plastics and hardbaits. Some spinners or spoons. Sometimes flies. Heavy on jigs...feather, hair or plastic.
Do a lot of vertical presentations with a variety of lures.
Any info on what it is you will be introducing...or are you just teasing us?

I prefer to cast and retrieve lures. I rarely troll. I fish with bait when ice fishing but I'm usually actively jigging. So...

Just so you know we are not teasing... The new product will not enhance your up and down jigging at all. The product will enhance bait fishing and lure fishing both shore and boat and will not enhance trolling in your area.
Our product caters to spinning reels but will also work with conventional reels being used by an avid angler.
