Burbot Bash

I'm pretty new to flaming gorge fishing, and this year I was wanting to try ice fishing for those burbot. I know the Burbot bash is the end of January, is that a good time to go or just as good as any other time? Where is the best spot to go and what hotels or places to stay are there? Any help would be great.

North of the confluence is where it’s at for burbot, they say that the further north you go the more burbot you will find. Firehole is a good starting area if you don’t know the place very well. As far as hotels I can’t help you on that one I always sleep out on the ice because burbot fishing is best at night. You can catch them during the day but night is the best
