Hey there BFT buddies,
Though I drop in regularly to see what you lot are up to it's been a while since I put some pics up of the shenanigans down here so without further ado here are some of the things we have been up to.
Any questions fire away

[#0000FF]Thanks, mate. Enjoyed the pictures. At least the fish and the scenery were nice. Can't say much for the guy in the pics though.
Looks like a lot of fine eating.

yeah I thought twice about putting the shirtless pic up hahahahaaaaa.
WRT eating. Anything red is delish and we will take our bag limit every time. The big flathead go back as they are the breeders. I keep the slot size ones from 45cm - 65 cm.

[#0000FF]Nahhh. You look fine...shirtless and all. What's a bit of fish porn without some angler "flashing"?
Interesting comment about "anything red is delish". Here in the US we have many species along the west coast...jointly called "rock fish"...that are various shades of red. All are highly prized on the table. And there are also several species of snapper along the Pacific coast of Mexico and latin America that are red...and great eating. Then there is the overfished but recovering red snappers of the Gulf of Mexico. And I recently watched a program about some of the deep water red fishes of the north Atlantic that are a big commercial harvest.
I liked the pic of the grouper or sea bass. I'm guessing that species gets bigger. I have seen pics of the big "potato cod" from your country that get extremely large.
Was that first fish a wahoo? I have caught some pretty big specimens of those in both the Atlantic and western Pacific. Now that is a good eater too.

The first fish is a Cobia. I know they are caught around Florida so no doubt any warm waters of the south would hold them. Our favorite would have to be coral trout

[#0000FF]Cobia. Yeah. In the picture it looked a bit more elongated. But looking closer I can see it. I have caught grundles of those both off Florida and south Louisiana. Great sight fishing. They cruise near the surface and often follow behind big rays or turtles. In Louisiana there were often several hanging around the offshore oil rigs. And when we hooked one there were often others that followed it...allowing for multiple hookups at the same time. Much fun. Great eating too.

yeah the are good on the chew, just gotta make sure you cut out the blood line. I love them in a nice beer batter.
My mate got a 40kg (88 pounds) one a few months back that was featured in May's Hall of fame.
