2018 East Canyon Ice Fishing Derby!

Hey Everyone! It's getting that time of the year again to start thinking about the hard deck. I just wanted to let everyone know that the signups for the 5th annual Fins and Fur Ice Fishing Derby at East Canyon Reservoir are now live. The derby will be held on January 13, 2018. See the attached flyer for details. Spots are filling quick so don't wait too long. We look forward to seeing everyone up there again.

Well I got the whole week off for vacation to ice fish around Utah so it's a perfect timing to see if I'll do better this time then 3 years ago.

Just hope the winter weather takes a good hit soon to freeze up all lakes because I'm looking forward to enter as many ice contest this season.

Forget my last post concerning not being able to open the flyer. Apparently it is a large file and takes some time to down load. I started the download and walked away for a while and it finally came up.

I drove by East Canyon today and ice is starting to form on the east arm at the inlet and a little in the North arm where the road comes up from Henifer. It looked thin. I drove by Echo and it was open water.
