Newton reservoir ?
#1
Does anyone plow the road to Newton reservoir in the winter? I want to ice fish there this year and I dont have a truck, so my destinations have some limitations.

I have made it in my Toyota Corolla a couple of times. Please give a report if you go. Thanks.

The main road to the reservoir is maintained. It will be the parking areas that might be a problem. Good luck.

I hope the fishing will be good again like it was before it was drained. I haven't been back since but we had a lot of fun chasing musky, perch and crappie over the years. I don't remember access (driving or parking) being much of an issue.

Rods completely correct, the road is good, but parking can suck if it's snowed a bunch, they don't plow the lot... Last year I wondered if my 4x4 truck was going to get out a couple times... Not sure if the road is wide enough to park on the side or not... since the parking dips down off the road it might be risky to try getting to park down there if you can't get a run to get over the slick hill... May not be much snow this year though, so you may be okay... Later J
