Very interesting action. Just a slow role, but they seemed to be attracted. Maybe a squid 12 inches back, or try a tripple teaser behind it. Thanks its rewarding to make a lure and get success.

From what I could see, it looks like a cut plug with an off-center line tie that causes it to roll instead of wobbling.

A lot of the Pacific NW lures and cut bait are designed to do the slow roll. At times, it is the best action.
Also works on Walleye, as evidenced by the special hooks that have the "death roll" action when trolling worms.
Personally, not a fan of the action unless I have the best Stainless Steel Ball Bearing Swivels, but ....... it sure is an effective attracting action.

When I first started to watch I thought 'oh no' that line is going to be so twisted and then the video showed some swivels. It attracted some fish and that was it's purpose. I'm kind of like you I'm always trying something new. Some times it works and some times it doesn't. The fish at Strawberry have seen a bazillion white tube jigs. They work some times but so does a lot of other things and some more than white tube jigs. I like to think outside the box. Thanks for sharing.

If you are done with Strawberry for the year there is still some time to start chasing the salmon in Jordanell. The ramp gets some good afternoon sun and I haven't seen a boat out there for almost a month now.
