Anyone have any updates on Utah Lake? I have three nephews visiting from out of state for the holidays who would like to go ice fishing. I'm looking for ice conditions, what's biting if anything, location and baits/lures. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I was going to check the af harbor today but instead went up to tibble fork. Lots of thick ice up at tibble with plenty of sledding for the kids too. We had lots of fish under us but they just didn’t want what we were offering. I forgot most my worms for tipping the hooks so I just used the wax worms that I did have. All in all we pulled up two and let them go to grow bigger for someone else. Thinking of checking af harbor tomorrow.

Ice fishing was good Saturday at the Saratoga Springs Marina. Ice was 5" thick. There were 6 or 7 guys at any given time all in the same spot (north end of the marina), but the white bass biting was fast and constant.
Use some white bass cut meat on a little jig head, near the bottom.

Lots of 4-5” white bass being caught in the channel off the dock. Some people around the Springs. No driving to Springs. Cops are inforcing parking regulations. Ice in channel about 3”. Not good ice!

It'll get warmer this week, so be sure to test the ice anywhere you go.
On the topic of Utah lake: is there any way to target walleye through the ice? Any known spot where they ambush bait-fish?

Do you have to pay to fish in the marinas at AF or Saratoga right now?

American Fork Harbor is free for the winter season, and the public Saratoga Springs marina (Pelican Bay) is always free unless you're launching a boat.

I drove down to AF harbor yesterday just to see the ice conditions. A few people were there fishing but it didn't look like they were having any love from the fish. Ice looked to be a safe but I would test it before going out too far. Lots of people had chucked rocks and debris out on the ice to check if it was safe ☹ so watch where you put your auger.
