Electric lake 12-27-17
#1
My boys and I drove down to the north end this morning. The road in had about 6 to 8 inches of snow with some deeper drifts. We made it to the boat ramp area with four wheel drive, but any more snow and you would probably need a snowmobile. There is ice out to about 200 yards past the boat ramp and then it turned to open water (see pic #3). Anyway, the ice was a solid 9" everywhere we drilled with 6" of snow on top. Fished mostly along the far shoreline across from the boat ramp. Fished from 8ft out to 30ft and picked up 6 tiger trout and my oldest son got a brown trout which was a surprise, all between 14" and 17".
On the way home we stopped at Scofield and fished long enough to get a bunch of chub bait and a bunch of skinny cutthroat with 2 small rainbow in the mix.

before the lake was there that was a blue ribbon brown firhery!! but after the lake was made and the DWR was going up and getting the Cutthroat egg's so they could sale them (e-lake was the only certified disease free lake in utah) they tried to kill all the brown's they could so they would not eat the cutt eggs and fry they really only wanted Cutt's in the lake... seen them every year after the lake was made for the first 5 or 6 years the DWR was shocking the brown's on the bed's in the fall and scupping them up and hulling them off.. [:/][shocked]
