Fished Strawberry today with a fellow BFT member. I didn't catch many, but I managed to tie my largest fish from Strawberry. It was a heavy 26" cutthroat.

I would guestimate it at 15" and no slush.

It's got to be hoot to catch a slot buster through the ice like that. Good job! Are the parking areas clear of snow yet up there?

Snow in the parking area at The Strawberry Marina area is going fast. We were able to drive down to the bottom of the boat ramp and unload/load our gear.

Glad the ice is still good for now. This rain / snow we're forecast to get may change things quickly though as the cloud cover probably won't let it get as cold to keep it that way. We were up on HWY 150 up in the Uintahs and the road to Whitney was starting to show signs of gravel in the low dip areas and many places were getting some standing water in some areas. So it was most likely our last trip up there for the season. There still is good amount of snow on the ground yet to melt but the snow was pretty squishy when you walked on it.

[#0000FF]Sh-h-h-h-h. Keep it quiet. Although you could have posted a picture of the hole from which you caught it.
Too bad you didn't get one of those big rainbows too. Woulda made a nice pair of bookends.
